- Level 6 is more favorable as your R provides strong engage potential that can bypass Janna's peel if positioned correctly.
Synergy & Trading
- Look for Q poke when Vayne steps up for CS, then immediately W to Smolder for repositioning.
- Your best trades come from landing Q on Vayne when she's animation-locked during auto attacks, forcing her to either trade back unfavorably or disengage.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Roaming is difficult early due to Smolder's scaling needs, but look for mid roams after first back when you have boots.
- Your best roam windows are when the wave is pushing toward your tower and Smolder can safely farm under turret.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste Q on minions when enemies are in range as it's your only engage tool with a long cooldown.
- Avoid face-checking bushes without vision as Vayne can condemn you into walls for easy kills.
