Who Wins
- Pre-6, Tristana + Poppy win most extended trades because Poppy's W denies your Q peel and Tristana's range advantage lets her stack your passive safely from distance; post-6, your R gives you a teamfight-winning tool but Poppy's R can still isolate you or your ADC, so the 2v2 remains contested rather than clearly in your favor.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to Q-dash to a minion or enemy to apply passive stacks, then have Jhin follow with his W root to lock them in place for a full passive proc — never initiate without Jhin already in position to follow up, as you are extremely vulnerable if your dash is wasted.
Wave Control/Roaming
- You want to play around a slow push into a freeze-breaking dive, using your E shield to absorb Tristana's poke while Jhin builds a wave; avoid letting Poppy shove freely because she can crash waves and roam before you can react.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use your Q as an escape tool when Poppy's W is available — she will simply deny your dash and you will be left without your primary mobility and engage tool in a lane where you already have limited options.
