Scuttle Contest
- You lose early scuttle fights due to Udyr's superior base stats and Q stun into W shield combo.
- Post-6, you win extended fights if you can kite with Q dashes and avoid his initial burst, as your R stacks and true damage scale better than his sustained damage.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Udyr will likely start bot side for leash then path toward top scuttle, looking to contest it around 3:15.
- He may attempt a level 3 gank top lane after securing scuttle, or invade your top jungle if he gets priority.
Invade or Not
- Avoid invading early as Udyr wins most 1v1s pre-6 and has better escape tools with Q stun and W shield.
- Your best invade timing is post-6 when you have R stacks and can see him on the opposite side of the map, targeting his krugs or gromp.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't try to match Udyr's early aggression or contest objectives without backup before level 6.
- Avoid fighting in tight jungle corridors where you can't utilize Q mobility effectively, and never engage without Q stacks for escape options.
