Who Wins

  • Pre-6, you and Jhin win this lane: your Q stun combined with Jhin's W root gives you a reliable double-CC pattern that Alistar cannot engage through without eating both CCs, and Jhin's range keeps Ashe poked down.
  • Post-6, the lane becomes even — Ashe R is a global engage tool that negates your roam safety, and Alistar's R makes your burst pattern insufficient to kill him in a straight fight.

Synergy & Trading

  • Use your Q to zone Alistar away from his engage angle rather than using it as a pure damage tool — if you can stun him before he reaches Jhin, the engage is dead.
  • When Alistar does get in, use your E portal to reposition Jhin out of his W+Q range rather than trying to out-damage him.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • You should roam, but only when the wave is pushed into Alistar's tower and Jhin has enough HP to survive a short 1v2 — Bard's roam impact is high, but leaving Jhin alone against Alistar at low HP is a death sentence.
  • Optimal roam windows are when Bard hits level 5-6 with enough chimes for meaningful heals, and when Ashe R is on cooldown so you are not immediately punished.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use your R offensively on Alistar — his R makes him immune to your burst during the stasis, and you will have wasted your ultimate while Ashe and Alistar reposition freely.
  • Save your R to peel for Jhin or to interrupt Alistar's W+Q combo by displacing Jhin out of the kill zone.
