Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through superior range and poke with Q+soldier autos, but must respect Zed's level 3 W-E-Q combo potential.
- Post-6 becomes Zed-favored as his R gives him guaranteed gap-close through your range advantage and burst potential to kill you before your DPS matters.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading is Q-auto-auto with soldiers then immediately repositioning backward, using your range to poke without committing to extended trades.
- Never try to out-trade Zed in melee range or when his W is available for gap-closing.
Wave Control
- Push early waves to establish soldier control and deny Zed farm, but transition to freezing near your tower once he hits level 6.
- This forces him to overextend for CS while keeping you safe from all-ins with your R available for self-peel.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use your E aggressively for trades as it's your only escape tool against Zed's R engage.
- Wasting E forward leaves you completely vulnerable to his all-in combo with no way to create distance.
