Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through superior range and wave control, using E to execute minions for stacks while passive stars zone Yone from CS.
- Post-6 the matchup becomes more dangerous as Yone's R gives him gap-close potential to bypass your range advantage, though you can still win if you land Q stuns.
How to Trade
- Trade by positioning to hit Yone with passive stars while he goes for CS, then use E when he's in range to chunk him and execute minions simultaneously.
- Always keep Q ready to stun him if he tries to engage with Q3 or E, as landing the stun allows you to walk away safely while passive stars continue dealing damage.
Wave Control
- Hard shove every wave with E to execute minions for stacks, then use W to roam to side lanes or invade jungle with your jungler.
- This forces Yone to choose between following your roams (losing CS and tower plates) or staying mid (giving your team advantages elsewhere).
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste W aggressively for trades as it's your only escape tool when Yone has R available.
- Never face-check bushes or fight in tight spaces where Yone can easily land Q3 knockup, as you need space to kite with your range advantage.
