Who Wins
- You win levels 1-3 through superior range and consistent damage with your passive stars, but Katarina wins at level 6 due to her all-in potential with Death Lotus.
- Your early game advantage disappears once she gets her ultimate and can burst you down before you can kite effectively.
How to Trade
- You should trade with short W extensions when Katarina goes for CS, then immediately retract to avoid her engage.
- Never extend trades beyond 2-3 seconds as her damage ramps up quickly with daggers, and always position to deny her dagger pickups.
Wave Control
- You want to hard push early waves to create roam timers and deny Katarina farm under tower.
- After level 6, maintain slow pushes and ward aggressively since you cannot match her all-in potential in lane.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use your Q aggressively without vision of the enemy jungler, as you become extremely vulnerable to ganks.
