- You win pre-6 through superior range and consistent poke with W and auto attacks, as Ekko lacks gap closers and sustain early.
- Post-6 you lose all-ins hard since Ekko's R gives him massive outplay potential and his E-Q combo can 100-0 you if you're caught without flash.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading is W poke followed by auto attacks while kiting backwards, using your range advantage to chunk Ekko before he can engage.
- Never commit to extended trades since his passive proc and Q return damage will out-trade your sustained damage in melee range.
Wave Control
- Push early waves with W to establish lane priority and back for items, then maintain a slow push or freeze near your tower to deny Ekko roam opportunities.
- Avoid hard shoving post-6 as it leaves you vulnerable to ganks and Ekko all-ins when the wave bounces back.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never face-check bushes or walk up without vision of Ekko's position, as his E-Q combo from fog of war can instantly delete you.
