Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Draven wins the 2v2 — his level 1 Q spinning axes deal significantly more damage than your W poke, and Blitzcrank's level 1 hook threat forces you to play far back, negating your range advantage.
  • Post-6, you gain meaningful agency: your R can interrupt Blitzcrank's hook setup and your W slow combined with Pyke's R creates a reliable kill pattern, shifting the 2v2 in your favor if you land it first.

Synergy & Trading

  • Your best trading pattern is to use W to slow Draven as he scrambles to catch axes, forcing him to either take damage or drop the stack — never trade into him when he has full control of his axes and positioning.
  • Coordinate with Pyke so that when Pyke lands an E stun, you immediately stack W shots into the target; the slow-into-stun chain is your highest-damage window.

Wave Control/Roaming

  • Push the wave consistently with W to deny Draven easy axe-catching positions — a pushed wave forces him to catch axes under tower or in awkward spots, reducing his damage output.
  • Avoid freezing, as a frozen wave near their tower gives Blitzcrank free hook angles on you with no escape room.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not walk up to poke without tracking Blitzcrank's Q cooldown — one hook on you at any point pre-6 is likely a kill given Draven's burst.
  • Respect the hook range at all times and poke only from maximum W range when Blitzcrank's Q is confirmed on cooldown.
