Who Wins
- Pre-6, Ashe + Blitzcrank lose most extended 2v2s because Yasuo's E lets him dodge Blitzcrank's Q and gap-close onto you, while Aatrox's passive and E sustain through your poke — you can win short trades if Blitzcrank lands a hook on Aatrox before he activates E, but this requires perfect positioning.
- Post-6, your R gives you a reliable engage tool that Yasuo cannot dash through (it's a projectile he can block with W), so coordinate with Blitzcrank to R-stun Aatrox first, then chain the hook for a kill window.
Synergy & Trading
- Your best pattern is to stay at max range and use your Q stacks to slow Yasuo before Blitzcrank attempts a hook — a slowed Yasuo has far fewer E dashes available to dodge the grab.
- Never auto-attack into melee range yourself; your job is to kite backward while Blitzcrank peels, using W to disengage if Yasuo closes the gap.
Wave Control/Roaming
- Push the wave consistently with Q to deny Yasuo passive stacks on minions and prevent him from building Gathering Storm stacks safely — a pushed wave also forces Aatrox to farm under tower where his Q hitboxes are harder to land.
- Avoid freezing; a frozen wave near their tower puts you in range of Aatrox's W pull and Yasuo's all-in with no escape room.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not stand in a straight line with Blitzcrank when Aatrox uses W — if both of you get pulled to center, Yasuo can immediately E in and Aatrox can land all three Q stages on a clustered target, turning a bad positioning mistake into a double kill.
- Always spread laterally so only one of you is threatened by the W at a time.
