Who Wins

  • Pre-6, Vladimir wins most extended trades due to his W sustain negating your poke while you have no reliable escape and your Q is a slow, telegraphed skillshot he can simply W through; post-6, your R+Q+E burst combo can one-shot him if he overextends, but he can W your R's damage window and sustain through it if he plays reactively, making the kill window narrow.

How to Trade

  • Your best pattern is to E him from max range to proc your passive damage, then immediately back off before he can pool and re-engage — never commit to a full trade unless your Q stun lands first, as without the stun his sustain will outlast your damage output.

Wave Control

  • Push the wave hard with E to force Vladimir to farm under tower, where his waveclear is weaker and he cannot safely pool to dodge your Q; a frozen wave near his tower is dangerous for you because he can all-in you with no escape route, so prioritize shoving and backing.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not use your R offensively as an opener in this lane expecting it to chunk him significantly — he will simply W during the R duration, negate a large portion of the damage, and then re-engage on you when you have no cooldowns left.
