- Pre-6, you lose most extended trades because Tristana's attack speed steroid from W and E stacking make her burst you down faster than your slow combo can punish her, and your egg passive is a liability since she can freely stack E on you and reset the kill attempt; post-6, your R wall fundamentally changes the matchup by trapping her in your damage zone and denying her W escape, making you the clear winner in extended fights if you land Q first.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to bait her W jump in, immediately Q to stun her mid-air or on landing, then R to wall off her escape route, and follow with E into auto attacks to maximize damage while she's locked down — never trade without your Q stun available, as your damage without it is too slow to punish her mobility.
Wave Control
- Push the wave hard with E to deny her passive cannon ball stacks and force her to farm under tower, where her W jump-in threat is reduced; a frozen wave near your tower is dangerous because it gives her a free angle to all-in you with W, so prioritize shoving and resetting rather than holding a freeze.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never let her stack E on you passively by standing in her range without trading back — she will detonate it with R for a massive burst that can kill you through egg, and you must respect that her all-in at level 6 with full E stacks plus R is one of the highest damage combos in the game if you're not at full health.
