Who Wins
- Pre-6, Darius wins every extended trade due to his passive bleed, E slow, and W heal — you have no reliable escape and your Q stun requires a skillshot that Darius can walk through while already on top of you; post-6, you can kite and zone him with R-empowered E slows and Q walls, but he can still kill you if he gets one clean E pull before you react.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to land Q to stun him at max range, immediately follow with E to proc the double damage, then back off before his passive stacks — never commit to a full combo unless he is already slowed and you have the distance to avoid his E pull.
Wave Control
- Push the wave hard with E to force Darius under tower, where his all-in is weaker and his E pull can be body-blocked by minions; once you hit 6, use R to accelerate wave clear and establish a freeze or slow push that denies him the melee-range access he needs to trade.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not try to trade into him when he already has 3 or more passive stacks on you — his W heal combined with the bleed will reverse any damage lead you think you have, and walking back in to finish a trade is how you die to a champion who outscales your burst at close range.
