Scuttle Contest

  • At level 3, you win the scuttle fight if you land your E dash to proc your passive shield before Trundle can chunk you down with his Q attack speed steroid; your burst window is tight but favorable if you engage first with full health.
  • From level 6, you win extended 1v1s by weaving Q dashes to reset your passive shield charges between Trundle's Q autos, denying him the sustained damage he needs to out-trade you over time.

Predicted Jungle Path

  • Trundle will most likely start his buff opposite to yours, then path toward scuttle through his second buff, arriving at level 3 with high HP due to his passive healing off jungle camps; expect him to contest scuttle aggressively since he sustains through trades better than most junglers.

Invade or Not

  • You should invade Trundle's second buff at approximately 3:15–3:30 after clearing your own two buffs, targeting whichever buff is on the opposite side of the map from scuttle; Trundle's clear is not fast enough to prevent you from stealing it if you path efficiently, and his early dueling without his Q stacked is weaker than people assume.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Do not let Trundle land his W Frozen Domain under you during a fight — his movement speed and attack speed bonus on that terrain dramatically shifts the trade in his favor, and many Ambessa players underestimate how much that single ability changes the damage exchange if you stay inside it.
