- Pre-6 you win convincingly, especially at level 2 when your Q into passive-empowered auto combo outdamages Sylas's healing; post-6 the matchup becomes more volatile because he can steal your R and use your own mobility against you, so you must respect his all-in threat and avoid fighting him at full HP with R available.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to proc your passive with a Q or W opener, immediately follow with an empowered auto, then disengage before his E-chain can lock you into a prolonged fight where his Q sustain becomes relevant; short, decisive trades where you deal burst and exit are how you win this lane.
Wave Control
- Keep the wave in a slow push toward his side of the map to threaten constant all-ins and deny him safe CS, as Sylas is weak when forced to farm under tower pressure and cannot freely use Q to heal without risking pushing the wave back to you; this also sets up dive opportunities once you hit level 6.
Mistakes to Avoid
