Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you win the scuttle fight if you land your E dash into a full Q combo, as your sustained melee damage and passive shield generation from hitting multiple targets give you durability advantage in a short trade; at level 6, you win a 1v1 by using your E to close distance, weaving Q autos to stack your passive, and forcing Lee Sin to burn his W shield early before you all-in, since his damage falls off significantly if he cannot land a clean Q1-Q2 opener on you.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Lee Sin most commonly runs a Red side start into Raptors or Krugs, then crosses to Blue-Gromp before contesting scuttle around 3:15-3:30; alternatively he may start Blue side and rush to Red to set up an early level 3 gank on a sidelane, so track his starting buff side by watching which side his laners leash.
Invade or Not
- You should invade Lee Sin at his second buff around 3:00-3:15 if you started opposite side, as he will be low on HP and without smite; the optimal location is his Red buff if he started Blue, cutting him off before he can smite and forcing a fight where your passive sustain and Q burst give you a meaningful advantage over his weakened state.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not blindly dash with your E into Lee Sin without confirming his Q is on cooldown, because if he lands Q1-Q2 onto you while you are mid-dash animation, he can follow up with a full combo and R kick that will either kill you or force a flash before you can retaliate effectively.
