LaneDiff costs me $50/month to run. If it helped you win a lane, a small tip keeps it alive. 💙

Who Wins
- Pre-6 you lose to sustained poke if Gnar plays at max Q range, but at level 3 your W shield plus E double-dash lets you close the gap and force a trade where your damage output exceeds his; post-6, his Mega Gnar R stun into a wall is lethal for you, so you must respect his rage bar and avoid fighting him when he is close to transforming.
How to Trade
- Your best pattern is to wait for him to use Q on a minion or miss it, then immediately E in, proc W shield to absorb his auto, and chain your full combo before he can build enough rage to transform, then E out before he can retaliate.
Wave Control
- Play for a freeze near your side of the lane when he is in Mini Gnar, as it forces him to walk up to CS and exposes him to your all-in without a wall nearby for him to R you into; avoid hard pushing because a fast wave gives him free rage stacking and transformation setup.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never fight him when his rage bar is above roughly 80% and he is near a wall — his R in Mega Gnar will stun you long enough for him to deal massive damage, and if you have already used your R defensively, you have no answer to the lockdown.
