Scuttle Contest
- At level 3, you win the scuttle fight if you can grapple onto terrain adjacent to the scuttle pit and maintain your E swing, as it makes you a moving target that Ahri's W charm and Q true damage are very difficult to land on; however, if Ahri lands W before you initiate your E, you are stunned mid-swing and she wins the trade cleanly.
- From level 6, you win a 1v1 by forcing Ahri to use her E dash before you commit your E grapple, then engaging once her mobility is on cooldown and she cannot dodge your W boomerang.
Predicted Jungle Path
- Ahri typically runs a full clear starting Blue-Gromp into Red side or vice versa, reaching level 3 scuttle contest around 3:15-3:30; she prioritizes early ganks because her W charm is a reliable setup tool and she wants to snowball leads before you can stack passive revive stacks.
- She will avoid extended 1v1 fights in the jungle and instead look to gank pushed lanes where she can land charm safely.
Invade or Not
- You can invade Ahri at her second buff around 3:00-3:15 if you started on the opposite side, as she has no reliable escape from a grapple-initiated trade when she is low from clearing; the optimal location is her red buff if she started blue, using your E to close distance over terrain walls and cutting off her escape path.
- Avoid invading post-level 6 unless you are confident she has used her E, because her R gives her three dashes that completely negate your grapple repositioning advantage.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Do not use your E grapple onto terrain that is far from Ahri just to look aggressive, because if she simply walks away while you are swinging you waste the cooldown and are left exposed in the open with no mobility.
- Never fight Ahri in open terrain without terrain nearby to grapple to, as her Q poke and W charm are far more accurate against a stationary or predictably moving target.
