Who Wins
- You lose most pre-6 trades due to Yone's superior range, poke, and sustain through his passive shield, making it difficult to stick to him for meaningful damage.
- Post-6 you gain a significant advantage as your R mobility allows you to dodge his R, re-engage on your terms, and execute him through your burst combo.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to bait his E engage, immediately W to avoid his Q3 knockup, then Q-auto-Q from stealth when he's forced to E2 back or overstay.
- This forces him to take unfavorable trades while you regenerate energy in shroud safety.
Wave Control
- You should focus on freezing the wave near your tower and looking for roam opportunities rather than trying to contest CS early.
- Yone's range advantage makes it difficult to farm safely, but your superior roam potential with R can generate leads elsewhere on the map.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Don't waste W defensively against his Q poke as you'll need it to counter his all-in E engages when they matter most.
- Avoid trading when your energy is low as Yone can easily punish your inability to follow up with sustained damage or escape tools.
