Scuttle Contest

  • You lose scuttle fights at level 3 as your Q poke and W shroud cannot prevent his E-Q-W combo from forcing extended trades where he wins with sustained damage.
  • From level 6, you only win 1v1s if you can land perfect Q-R-E combos while using W shroud to avoid his Q knockup and reset R cooldowns.

Predicted Jungle Path

  • Xin Zhao typically starts bot side for faster clear speed, taking his buff then krugs/gromp, followed by vertical clear or immediate ganks around 3:00-3:30.
  • He'll look for early skirmishes and invades, especially targeting your buffs when you're low from clearing.

Invade or Not

  • Avoid invading unless you have significant vision control and know his exact location, as he wins most direct confrontations early game.
  • If you must invade, target his camps when he's showing on the opposite side of the map around 4:00-5:00 when he's committed to ganking.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't fight him in open areas where he can easily land E gap closer and stick to you throughout the trade.
  • Avoid using W shroud defensively too early in fights, as he can simply wait it out with his sustained damage and then re-engage when you're vulnerable.
