Who Wins
- You win pre-6 through superior range and wave control, as Zed lacks gap closers and must walk up for CS.
- Post-6 becomes Zed-favored once he gets R, as he can all-in through your E charm and has higher burst potential.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern is Q poke when Zed walks up for CS, then immediately back off to avoid his W-E-Q combo.
- Never trade in extended fights pre-6 as his passive and energy sustain favor longer engagements.
Wave Control
- Push early levels to establish range advantage and deny Zed easy CS, then maintain neutral wave state around levels 4-5.
- After 6, keep waves closer to your side to limit his all-in angles and have escape room for his R engages.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never use E aggressively for poke as it's your only escape tool against his R all-in.
- Don't stand in your minion wave where his W-E-Q can hit both you and push simultaneously, giving him free wave control.
