Who Wins
- You win pre-6 clearly because your Q poke outranges his Q setup and your E charm punishes any attempt he makes to walk up and stack nails on you — at level 3 with Q-W-E you can full combo him after a charm for significant damage while he has no reliable way to close the gap safely without eating your abilities first.
- He needs multiple Q stacks applied before his damage is meaningful, so denying him that setup denies his entire trading pattern.
How to Trade
- Post-6 you need to respect that his R creates a zone of 99% slow and execution pressure that hard-counters your tendency to fight in place — use your R dashes proactively to stay mobile and avoid standing in his R totem area, and do not try to all-in him at low health since his passive and R execution threshold punish exactly that scenario.
- If you've poked him down and he's below roughly 40% health, disengage rather than going for the kill because his burst at that point exceeds yours.
Wave Control
- Your best trading pattern is sustained Q poke to chip him down while he lacks stacks, punishing any E blink attempt with an immediate charm into full W-Q combo — his E has a visible animation and landing zone, so you can sidestep and retaliate rather than just taking the damage.
