Who Wins

  • You lose early trades pre-6 due to Azir's superior range and soldier poke, but can look for all-ins at level 2-3 if he mispositions.
  • Post-6 you win the 1v1 decisively with R mobility allowing you to dodge his abilities and close gaps for burst combos.

How to Trade

  • Your best trading pattern is E-Q-W when his soldiers are down or he's out of position, then immediately back off to avoid extended trades.
  • Never try to trade when his soldiers are up and positioned aggressively as you'll take more damage than you deal.

Wave Control

  • Push early waves with Q to match his waveclear and prevent him from getting free poke while you CS.
  • After 6, look to shove and roam since you can't effectively zone him but have superior map mobility.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't try to walk up for CS when his soldiers are positioned between you and the minions, as you'll take heavy poke damage.
  • Avoid using R aggressively without vision as Azir's R can knock you into his team or away from your escape route.
