Who Wins
- You struggle pre-6 as Ryze can poke you down while staying outside your Q range, making it difficult to sustain or trade effectively.
- Post-6 you become significantly stronger as R gives you the stats and mobility to close gaps and potentially kill him if you land your combo.
How to Trade
- Your best trading pattern is to use E during Q animations to close distance and land sweet spots, ideally starting with W to guarantee follow-up.
- Look for opportunities when Ryze steps up to farm or uses abilities on minions to engage with your full rotation.
Wave Control
- Accept being pushed early and focus on farming safely while looking for opportunities to freeze near your tower where you can run him down.
- Once you have R, you can contest wave control more aggressively and look for all-ins.
Mistakes to Avoid
