Who Wins
- You win levels 1-3 through superior all-in potential with Q sweetspots and passive healing, but Gangplank can poke you down with Q spam.
- At level 6, you gain a significant advantage as your R provides healing and damage that Gangplank's R cannot match in direct combat.
How to Trade
- Your optimal trading pattern involves landing Q1 or Q2 sweetspot to gap close, then chaining the remaining Q casts while weaving auto attacks between each cast.
- Always save W for when Gangplank tries to disengage with passive movement speed, as the pull can secure extended trades where your sustain advantage matters.
Wave Control
- Push early waves aggressively to establish level advantages and force Gangplank into defensive farming under tower where his Q poke is less effective.
- After level 6, maintain slow pushes to build large minion waves that allow you to dive or force favorable recalls while denying his barrel setups.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Never engage trades when you're low on health without passive available, as Gangplank's Q plus Grasp can chunk you heavily without your healing to sustain through it.
- Avoid fighting in large minion waves early game where Gangplank can chain barrels off minions to deal massive damage while staying at safe range.
